The First Solo: A Star Wars Trailer Premiered At The Super Bowl, Watch It Now
We have been waiting for what feels like forever for the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. We first thought it was coming in early December, but then it didn't. Then we thought it was going to be attached to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it wasn't. Apparently it took the Super Bowl to finally bring the film out of hiding, as we now have our first ever look at the film.
We've heard that the first full-length trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story will be debuting tomorrow morning, but our first actual look at the movie is now here. In it, the face of Alden Ehrenreich is hidden for the most part, and even when it is revealed it is a touch obscured. That said, the trailer does give us some impressive first looks at many important members of the supporting cast.
For example, here is our first peek at Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian - picking up the mantle from the great Billy Dee Williams (and wearing an awesome fur jacket in lieu of a kick ass space cape):
Here is Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as Qi'Ra, who is a new character being introduced to the Star Wars canon in Solo: A Star Wars Story:
And then there is Tobias Beckett, who is Han Solo's mentor, being played by the brilliant Woody Harrelson:
The first Solo: A Star Wars Story teaser trailer is surprisingly light when it comes to Chewbacca footage (we may get more of that tomorrow), but at the very least we do get this parting shot of the two best buds with their backs to the camera at the end of the preview:
We have a few hours to wait until more of Solo: A Star Wars Story is revealed, but until then... what do you make of this first look?
